When it’s your business to tackle difficult and sensitive subject matter, a sense of humor and the ability to get down to “real talk” can go a long way. And that’s exactly what Pettitt does: she creates a welcoming environment in which she connects with her audience on a more honest and deeper level. As such, she’s able to get them to focus on how to have more effective and productive interactions. In turn, they’re able to create that kind of environment and interactions for those around them.
