Creating a successful speaking business takes a lot of work. I’m talking about the daily grind, the never-ending to-do list, the work that keeps you busy day in and day out: finding new gigs, preparing for booked engagements, working on marketing, managing your team, and the list goes on and on.
But no matter how busy you get, you need to regularly float up to the 10,000-foot level to evaluate the big picture—to cast the vision for your speaking business and to make sure you are moving forward toward that vision.
#SpeakerSuccess Tip: Don’t get so busy working IN your business that you stop working ON your #business!

When you take a 10,000-foot view, you can look down to see what is working and what is not. You can review the analytics, evaluate the health of the business, and decide if what you are doing is moving you closer to your vision (or if something needs to change).
It can be easy to get lost in the details and the day-to-day to-dos. But if you neglect to evaluate the big picture periodically (and regularly!), then what you’ll find is that your business is running you instead of you running your business.
That’s why we’re running the 30 Days to Better Marketing and More Gigs Challenge, which will help you to clarify your message, refine your target audience, optimize your marketing, and plant the seeds for new business in 2022. It all starts on Monday, November 1, 2021 and you can join us here.
See you soon, Wealthy Speaker!
