[Podcast] Behavior Tools and How to Use Them with Jill Davis

Odds are that at some point in your life you’ve taken some type of personality profile test – like DISC. These tools are often used in businesses to help avoid bad hires, manage more effectively and retain top talent by identifying the natural traits a person possess and then capitalizing on those for best performance.

On Episode 62 of The Wealthy Speaker Podcast, we are joined by Jill Davis, DISC Personality Expert, Professional Speaker, Author and Coach. Jill has been training on personality and behavioral styles for the past 20 years and shares with us during this chat a number of different ways speakers can use DISC and other behavior tools to not only run their business but also capitalize on opportunities with event planners and in your teaching and presentations.

Jill walks us through each of the four personality types:

D – Directive

I – Influencing

S – Steady

C – Cerebral

She explains the basic traits of each personality type, some of the best ways to identify what type a person may be and then how to communicate and interact with each type in the best way possible.

Great discussion, thx for sharing! Personality Dimensions is the tool I use (any of them are useful as they all provide insights), and I’m wondering if it would be fair to say that the D correlates to the “gold, Extroverted”, I to “Orange E”, S to “Blue Introverted” and C to “Green I”?

From what I know, I think that sounds pretty close Marion. I hope I see you soon!

Great podcast! I am definitely a “S” with a strong “D”. Thanks Jane for bringing great knowledge about this topic. Love the podcasts!

Thanks Talisa, it really helps to know what style you are and also what happens when you get under pressure. (ie: your D may go up!) 🙂
